“Hi, I’m Sharon! Creator, Writer, and Photographer of all the content you’ll find on the Heart and Stove blog!

About Sharon Lehman RD | Meet the Making Lemonade TeamI’m also a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and, most importantly, a self-taught home cook – and a darn good one if I do say so myself!

While I’ll always enjoy learning about nutrition and keeping up with the ever-changing world of health and wellness trends, it turns out I’m happiest when I’m creating, especially in the kitchen!

In true Libra fashion, my world revolves around balance. I feel best when I eat mostly real, unprocessed foods.

That being said, there’s always room to enjoy some of my favorite treats, like pizza, tacos, and cookies. Seriously, I’ve never met a cookie I didn’t like!

It really IS all about finding the right balance – and a balanced recipe collection is what you’ll find on my blog.

My recipes don’t fit any specific nutrition approach because I don’t strictly follow any one way of eating. Sometimes I play with gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian/vegan recipes and sometimes I’m baking the old-fashioned way with flour, sugar, and butter. (You read that right – I named those 3 ingredients!)

I hope my blog will inspire you to get in the kitchen, get cooking, and find your own healthy balance!

When I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me writing or with my nose in a book, jamming to Hanson (yep, mmmbop!), working out, and hanging with my favorite guy!”

~ Sharon Lehman, RD and founder of Heart & Stove

About Kim Holmes | Meet the Making Lemonade Team

“I’m Kim, a Personal Fitness Trainer and Health Content Writer who loves a good green smoothie, a kick-butt workout and has a debilitating sweet tooth.

I am happiest with a book, cup of coffee and a warm blanket, and will break into dance at the sound of anything by Salt ‘n Pepa. Just sayin’.

I am married to my high school best friend and we have two wild and crazy little boys who think wrestling is the best form of exercise.

I have been a Personal Trainer for over 12 years and am so thrilled to have a job I love!

I believe that fitness is more than just glossy photos of muscled women in bikinis. It’s more than eating ‘good food’ and ‘bad food’, and it’s more than beating your poor body into oblivion.

To me, fitness and ‘being healthy’ is about BEING STRONG and an active participant in your own life.

It’s about being able to play with your kids. It’s about being mentally strong and powerful. It’s about being able to open your own jars, lift your own suitcases. It’s about everything (yes everything) in moderation.

I want to bring fitness to everyone. I believe it is the match to light your spark.”

~ Kim Holmes, Fitness Trainer & Founder of My Fit Coach
